Reverse engineering is used in different areas such as firms renewing of the remaining products and generating archives for these products by keeping the current condition of the molds in the computer environment to be reproduced for feature uses, replication of archaeological findings and artworks, prosthesis development in medical sector, product development in defense industry, design and improvements for the molds and fixtures.
These projects are based on optical scanning and the point clouds obtained from this scanning processes. Developing surfaces from the point clouds, generating 3D CAD data with the sensitivity beginning from ±0.05 mm for the molds and fixtures. During the project for product development, problems which are associated with the production, are fixed, changes are applied, new product and improved version is presented to the customers. This process is being used widely by automotive industry, durable goods, defense industry, their sub-industries and the other firms to shorten the product development lead time by gaining precision and quality.
The reason for defining this method as “Reverse” is to investigate retrospectively to reveal the production methods that were used starting from concept stage to the mechanical stage. The primary objective of reverse engineering is to investigate the details of the product as well as to create a new concept by obtaining better products. Providing different perspectives to the existing product helps to create more efficient and cost-effective quality products, including advanced technology firms in product development which use this method as road maps. The projects in which different expertise come together such as engineering, construction, design, development, analysis, and materials as a teamwork; our company provides high-quality products and fast solutions to our customers.
